Takeno Tsuyu Sake Brewery
The best quality water is the secret behind Takeno Tsuyu sake
Take no Tsuyu was founded in 1858 at the foot of Mt. Haguro, a famous mountain in Yamagata. The sake brewery, which was surrounded by a bamboo forest and produces delicious sake, came to be known as Take no Tsuyu. (Take=Bamboo, Tsuyu=Dew)
In year 2002, Takeno Tsuyu Sake Brewery succeeded in the unearthing of deep sterile high hydrogen, ultra-soft water from a quartz layer of Mt. Gassan that wells up from the crystalline stratum that extends 300 meters underground. The ultra-soft water is used for sake brewing.
